Research

Microrheology. I use microrheology to study protein layers while they form at interfaces. By recording the random (Brownian) trajectories of micron-scale latex probes embedded in the layers, I can infer the shear response (viscosity, elasticity) of the layers.

Multiple Particle Tracking. To follow the trajectories of hundreds of latex probes at once, I work with the multiple particle tracking toolkit developed by Eric Weeks and John Crocker. I write supplemental codes for my lab.

Big Data. I am interested in tools and strategies for studying large data sets. I use SQL to store, process, organize, and analyze my particle tracking data.
